O Christmas Tree

Now that we’re situated for the winter in a one bedroom cabin at North Haven Campground in Bonners Ferry, we are able to decorate for Christmas! So, since we own some land with lots of trees, we decided to take our snowshoes and find a small tree. We have to use snowshoes because our car would never make it up the road (or get back down) in the approximately 16 inches of snow. We thought the lane looked very pretty in the summer and fall, but it is absolutely gorgeous with the snow!

Here are a couple of videos that show the trek:

Stan Dragging the Tree Back to the Car

While we were up at the property, we went over to Stan’s son’s property to see how things were going there and found that there were several inches of snow on the roof of our winterized RV. That’s a lot of weight, so Stan figured he’d better clean it off.

He said he wasn’t too worried about slipping off the roof since there was a large cushion of snow all around.

We got the tree back to our temporary home and put up some decorations.

We hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas from Stan and Mary (we add another decoration every year, so this is our 3rd Christmas).
