There’s been a fire burning, started by lightning, for several days on the mountain to the south of us. Most of the fire is on the far side of the mountain, but last night I was able to combine the glow from the fire with the Milky Way in one photo:

Later that night, actually in the very earlier morning, I saw that the Pleiades was rising over the eastern mountains:

This is really a beautiful place and the skies are very dark, enabling some outstanding star gazing.
