We closed on the land purchase yesterday with the (very scarey) wire transfer from our bank to the title company. The sale has been recorded and now it belongs to us free and clear, except for property taxes, of course. But they will be reduced since we have more than 5 acres in forest land. There is a special forest land exemption that will apply. Yay for us!
